Busy playschemesIf you are looking for child care, play groups or nurseries in Chepstow then take a look at our well established pre-school based in Tutshill.

Finding the right nursery for your child is essential for their optimum growth and development, and for your peace of mind. Here at Tutshill Community Pre-school we aim to provide a happy and relaxed environment where the children are encouraged to develop their self-confidence, sense of independence and social skills.

In October 2015 we were rated ‘Good ‘ by OFSTED and the report included the following comments: "The quality of teaching is good"; "Children are motivated in their play and make good progress in their learning"; "Children's behaviour is very good"; "Children make good progress from their starting points, they enjoy the play experiences they have in the exciting learning environment created by staff". Tutshill Community Pre-school is located in the War Memorial Hall which acts as the hub for a number of community activities. Our Pre-school has no formal catchment area so we welcome children from Chepstow and the surrounding villages. We are registered to accept Nursery Education Funding (NEF) which is available the term after your child is three for up to fifteen hours a week.

Outside activities

Our staff have a variety of qualifications from Introduction to Play, CACHE Level 3 in child care and education and BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies.

Tutshill Community Pre-school is a registered charity run by a management committee, which is made up of volunteering parents and carers of the children.
