Nature Schools

Nature schools

On a Monday morning we don our wellies and waterproofs and venture up to the local primary school’s designated forest school area. Our nature school provides an outdoor learning environment where the children are able to explore the magical outdoors in a safe and creative environment. We make cosy dens from sheets, we make exciting arrow trails, we paint the trees with our homemade mud paint!. The children also love to chase bubbles and run with sheets and scarves in the wind. We have a naughty squirrel game which develops a range of skills which at the same time is fun for the children. We encourage the children to explore the outdoors developing their own independence and self esteem. We believe the outdoors provides a creative learning environment which we can use to develop the concepts of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
